Welcome to Kunming. As the police officer in charge of public security and household administration of this district, I'd like to remind you of some important points about safeguard and accomodation registration.

1. In accordance with the relevant stipulates of the Law of The People's Republic of China on Entry and Exit of Aliens and The Law of the People's Republic of China on the Control of the Exit and Entry of Citizens, you should report your residence registration to the local public security station and go through the procedures within 24 hours after your arrival when you wish to lodge at your relatives' or friends’. For lodge at a guesthouse, hotel, hostel, school or other enterprises and institutions, you should present valid entry or residence certificates and fill in registration forms of temporary accomodation. You should also have to complete registration procedures to the relevant stipulations and follow the instructions from the publis security organ when you lodge at your own house or rental.
2. Remember the valididy date for your legal staying in China.
3. Gambling, prostitution , and foreign currency exchange between individuals are illegal.
4. Take care of yourself and your belongings , carelessness may cause trouble.
5. Please dial “110” or get help from the nearest police station in case of emergency.
6. The division of Exit-Entry of Kunming Municipal Public Security Bureau handles Aliens’ applications for visa extension, residence and other relevant foreign affairs.
